Résumé
Artist living and working in Mexico City
Bela Gold has a PhD in Design and Visual Arts from the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM), an institution in which she has been a professor and researcher since 1979. She received the University Merit Medal in 2010 and was recently honored as honorary artist of the Digital Graphic Workshop of the Multimedia Center at the National Arts Center.
Bachellor of Fine Arts from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, in Jerusalem, Israel. MA Degree -UNAM-Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, México. Currently studying the Post-Doctorate at 17, Institute of Critical Studies,
Since 1979, professor (as a teacher and researcher) at the UAM in the BA Degree in Art and Design, and at the Postgraduate, in Technologies, Art and Design and At the program Visualization of the Information Studies at the postgraduate studies. Won the PROMEP-SEP performance award for the periods ranging from 2001-2004, 2004-2008 and 2012-2015 and 2016- 2019.
As an artistic creator, her production appears in museums and collections in Mexico, Israel, the United States, Brazil, the Vatican, Colombia and Ecuador. He has deserved awards and mentions in Mexico and abroad, as well as the scholarship awarded by the National Endowment for Culture and Arts for the exchange of Artistic Residences Mexico-Canada, at the Banff Center for the Arts and four times has been integrated to the National System of Creators of Art (periods 2001-2004 and 2004-2007-2016-2019), and is a permanent member at the National Endowment for Culture and Arts
Artistic work has been included in art collections and museums in different countries around the world, including Mexico, Israel, the United States of America, Brazil, the Vatican, Argentina, Germany, the Czech Republic, England, Colombia, Ecuador and mainly in the WEB.
Bela Gold is an assessor of the (General Direction of Cultural Affairs for the Foreign Affairs Secretariat), postgraduate scholarships from 2008 to this day.

From 2014 til now she contributed to the Social Remuneration Programs of the FONCA with many activities, such as Experimental Drawing and Graphic Workshop at the CASA (Arts Center in San Agustín), Etla, Oaxaca and with the Graphic Workshop in Damián Flores, Oaxaca.
Participated as a Jury at the CNA(National Arts Center. PADID (Support for Teaching, Research and Diffusion of Arts), in the area of Visual Arts 2014, and in many Art Bienniels in México
Donated pieces of work through the FONCA to the MAM (Modern Art Museum) and to the Museo Nacional de la Estampa (National Museum of Imprint), and CARRILLO GIL, Art Museum in Mexico City
Being part of the Research Committee UAM-A, Mexico. Since 2014

More than 100 individual exhibitions, and more than 100 collective exhibitions, among which are: The book of memory in the National Museum of the Estampa, Mexico (2000); The memory-evidence book in the Jewish Museum, Prague (2002); O Livro Da Memoria: Testemunhos, in the Lasar Segal Museum, in Sao Paulo (2004). He has exhibited collectively in more than one hundred exhibitions, among which the Wondering library project stands out at the Venice Biennial in 2003 and 2009. Currently, he is part of the collective Stroke Study, Museum of Modern Art-INBA, Mexico City . In 2016 he has participated in 2 exhibitions in Israel, one in New York, one in the Czech Republic, and the Turin Italy, collective exhibition, Tower of Babel. In the month of April of the present, individual exhibition, CARTAS DEL HOLOCAUSTO, in MUFI, Museum of Philately, Oaxaca, Oaxaca. Regarding their participation in collective exhibitions, it is worth mentioning their participation in an exhibition in Havana Cuba, in 2015 and in the gallery of IVEC, Veracruz, Ver. The most recent exhibition, which tells its curriculum is in October of this year, where a sample is being held at the Amserdam Whitney Gallery, Chelsea, New York, LA VIE MAGIQUE, having participated in another exhibition in 2013 in the same gallery. Additionally, he prepares an individual exhibition for the Museum on the Seam, Jerusalem, Israel, as well as other spaces for the remainder of this year and 2017 and 2018. He presented in March 2017 an individual exhibition at the Glaciar de la Univ Anahuac- Norte.Persistence of the memory, and continues participating in the collective muetsras organized by the Terezin Museum of Israel: 2017: Machon Hamaim Gallery, Guivataiim and Museum of TAU-Tel Aviv
The artistic work is thematically associated in favor of Human Rights, the Holocaust and the fight against intolerance, xenophobia and racism, emphasizing the visual discourse on the Memory, as a research topic. In addition to supporting part of his work visual, these approaches are part of his career as a lecturer in seminars and conferences in the United States, Argentina, Israel, Germany and Mexico. Just to mention those made between 2013 to date: International Seminar of the Holocaust Museum of Houston, Texas, EU; International Seminar of the Holocaust Museum of Buenos Aires, Argentina; Week of Art and Criminal Sciences, INACIPE and National Museum of the Estampa, Mexico City; International Colloquium on the History of Art, Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City; First Colloquium of the Holocaust of World War II, ENAH, INAH, Mexico City; Magisterial Lecture at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, at the Zentrum Judische Studies, in Berlin, Germany.
As a visual artist, from the technical point of view has experimented through the use of elements of collage, drawing, digital drawing and experimental and intervened graphics, gravure, intaglio and mixed media; the neográfica, the autonomous and conceptual engraving, as well as electronic media among which are the drawing expand As an academic and researcher since 1979, she teaches at the Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communication Design, and in the Postgraduate Program in Design at the UAM, directing master's, doctoral and research theses in research seminars for doctoral students and other subjects. He has been a jury to grant postgraduate scholarships and research stays by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) and artistic creation competitions of various states in our country. In 2008 he participated in the Arte en construcción series on Canal 22, a project of the Jumex Foundation / Collection. He has given lectures, participated in round tables, and taught courses and workshops through the FONCA (CASA, Oxaca)
Author of five books + two d: DRAWING AS A CONFIGURATION PROCESS FOR TEACHING AND DESIGN (UAM-A, 1999, co-authored with Francisco Gerardo Toledo), awarded as the most important Text Book published as an Electronic Book -In 2000, the title was also published in printed support-; PROFESSIONALIZATION OF ART AND ARTISTIC SYSTEMS (COLLECTIVE BOOK) (Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, 2011); A POSSIBLE ARTISTIC VISION (UAM-A, 2012, from his doctoral thesis in Design and Visual Arts of the UAM). I PRAISE THE SPACE. SCULPTURAL INTERVENTIONS. (UAM-A, 2012 IN CO-authorship with Luis I. Sáinz and Paloma Ibáñez ); WORD AND SILENCE (UAM, 2013). Recently appointed Honorary Artist during the Digital Graphic Workshop held at the Multimedia Center of the National Center for the Arts in Mexico City. 2010: Academic Merit Medal, awarded by the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana of Mexico.
She is the author of the book UNA VISIÓN ARTÍSTICA POSIBLE (A Possible Artistic Vision) , which has been presented in several venues: Feria Internacional del Libro (International Book Fair), Guadalajara, Mexico, Feria Internacional del Libro (International Book Fair), Palacio de Minería, Mexico City and the Memory and Tolerance Museum.
She has contributed with both artistic work and articles to several magazines such as: “Casa del Tiempo” and “Tiempo de Diseño”, both published by the UAM-A in Mexico City, “Ciencias”, published by the Mexican Academy of Science, “Letras Libres”, a fine Mexican literary magazine, among others.
She has given lectures, seminars, round tables and discussion forums. Both inside and outside Mexico. She is the author of El Dibujo Como Proceso de Configuración para la Enseñanza del Diseño (Drawing as a Configuration Process for Teaching Design) which received the award for the best book edited as an electronic book.

“CICATRIZADA DE ARTE LA HOJA”, a traveling exhibit shown in different Mexican states: Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Jalisco and Colima. It was held from September 2005 to October 2006 and was organized by CONACULTA, the Mexican Council for Culture and the Arts.
